Landscape lighting is an art, and, at Outdoor Resolutions, we believe that the perfect landscape combines beauty and function. With our skilled design and installation techniques with outdoor lighting we promise to make your property “shine” in the dark:
•Uplighting: This technique involves the positioning of light to shine upwards. We use this to highlight focal points.
•Downlighting: Lights are shone down onto objects below. Downlights can be used to highlight certain landscape features, as well as walkways and driveways, for added safety.
•Moonlighting: We mount lights high in trees to simulate the dramatic effect of moonlight passing through branches.
•Accent lighting: This refers to use of light to highlight an object, area, or architectural feature.
•Shadowing: We strategically place two lights in different locations near a focal point—one in front of an object and another below an object-to project interesting shadows on a wall or similar surfaces.
•Silhouetting: We use this technique to cast a dramatic outline of an object against a lighter background. To achieve this, we place a light behind and below a focal point (e.g. a tree or bush).
•Path lighting: Lights are positioned to highlight walkways, driveways, steps, and corners.
